A characteristic Pantelleria garden, built to protect plants from the winds that blow to-wards the island in every season. The architecture, of Arab origin, is in local dry-wall lava stone, of varying height and without covering, to favor the sunshine.
The walls are made in such a way that the top is inclined inwards so as to capture the largest possible quantity of rainwater and to retain night moisture.
Every Pantelleria garden creates a real microclimate much cooler and humid than the environment that surrounds it.
